Qiraati
Sejarah Qiraati
Qiraati disusun oleh seorang guru ngaji Ust. KH Dachlan Salim Zarkasyi sejak tahun 1963.
Founded by the late Ustaz KH Dachlan Salim Zarkasyi in 1963, in Semarang, Indonesia, the Qiraati method of reciting the Quran has gained wide recognition. The method proven to be systematic and user-friendly, caters to the different age group. In 1970 Ustaz Dachlan compiled his Qiraati method into 10 volumes and had them printed. The material were further enhanced and compiled into several volumes catering to learners as young as 3 to adults. Only students who have demonstrated their ability will be promoted to the next level. This has contributed to the effectiveness and high standard of the Qiraati system.
Tarannum
Tarannum
The coming of Islam and the Quranic revelation has inspired Muslims as early as during Prophet Muhammad’s (Saw) time, to recite the holy book with the right intonation and to a certain extent, melody. Tarannum which means melody is an art of reciting the Al-Quran that is pleasing to the ear. Before one is able to do this, one must have acquired the right tajwid and fasahah. Allah Swt in surah Al-Muzzamil verse 4 said: “Recite the Quran as it ought to be recited. There are two streams of Tarannum – Hijazi and Misri. Hijazi is famous in the Muslim world prior to 1940. The basic melody under Hijazi falls into the following categories – Banjakah; Husaini; Mayyah; Rakbi; Jiharkah; Sikah; Dukah. Among well-known qari and qariah (Quranic reciter), Misri is more popular. Besides that, other forms of Tarannum include Husaini, Syuri, Nahu Athar dan Zinjiran. Overall, there are about 350 melody streams under Tarannum.
